Well 18.3 is a lot of jumping rope and some higher skilled gymnastics even in scaled.  You can look it just like Dave Castro said, the open is about challenging yourself to try new skills.  Today could be the day you get your first double under, pull-up or muscle-up.  


You are more than welcome to do the workout as prescribed with a judge, try to achieve a rep or more of something that scares you. Then you can jump in a later heat and modify the workout to what you are comfortable with and get a workout in.
